BBC NEWS Scotland Chamber beam goes south for tests: "The roof strut which came loose at the Scottish Parliament building last week is being taken to England for testing. " Comment would be superfluous.

Well Mak, I have been a supporter of devolution from the outset, but the inability of the devolved assembly to deal properly with McKie's case has shaken me considerably.
The story about the defective beam having to go south for examination just seemed to me to be so heavily symbolic - just pack the whole bloody lot up and send it all back down the road - it's f- all use to us here.
