It's A Gas, Gas, Gas

I found this on a web-site called modernmechanix - this is an extract from 'Popular Science' magazine of 1949 which helpfully advises its readers on how to make 'laughing gas' aka nitrous oxide. Similar advice tendered today would of course result in the magazine being closed down, its assets confiscated, and the editorial staff jailed for drug trafficking. Not so much of a laughing matter then, eh?
