FRIDAY NIGHT IS CURRY NIGHT

From the age of about 17 until the age of 49 I ate curry pretty well every Friday night, with only the most rare exceptions. Then, when the great heart-attack provider in the sky donated one to me, I thought the game was well and truly up. Acting on medical advice, I gave up my Friday night curry between December 2004 and November 2005. On that latter date the surgeon who is going to perform my heart by-pass rather surprisingly told me that my blocked arteries were entirely due to hereditary factors and had nothing to do with curry. F**K IT, I thought, I could have been eating my curries all this time. Tonight is Friday night. Tonight I will be mostly eating mushroom pakora, chicken vindaloo, fried (yummy) rice, stuffed naan bread, spiced onions and chips. And I will not feel guilty about it at all
