Number 3 - Mingus Ah Um - Charles Mingus I'm currently obsessed with the music of Mingus - I could have chosen any one of about a dozen albums to post here - the man was a bona fide genius - but I think this is one of his more readily accessible records - simply the best of 1950's jazz music - as always, the recommendation is to dash out immediately and buy.
