Bill and Ben, the Flowerpot Men

The Flowerpot Men are Bill and Ben and should not be confused with the hippie group of the summer of love who had a hit with 'Let's Go To San Francisco'. The guy who did the voices of Bill and Ben was a man called Peter Hawkins, and he was so good at doing the voices of fictitious beings that he went on also to be a voice of a Dalek and of a Cyberman. Bill and Ben's language mainly consisted of the words flobalob or flobadob or variations thereof. Disgusting as it may be, the word flobadob was invented as an onomatopoeic word to describe the noise a fart makes in the bath. The inventor of B+B, an old bat caled Hilda Brabban, sold the entire rights to the idea to the BBC for 1 guinea. Recently, the BBC sold several million pounds worth of Bill and Ben DVDs.
