Southfork and Clachan

Unfortunately I couldn't find any photographs of the largest council house in Western Europe, which you pass as you head down hill to the clachan of Clachan. Named 'Southfork' after the Ewing family home in 'Dallas', it was built by Argyll Council to accommodate the Townsley family. While the Ewing residence was built on oil, the Townsley one could be fairly said to have been built on alcohol. The council hoped that the whole squad could be confined in a sort of informal house arrest here. A very old photograph of Clachan follows
