All That Jazz

If you have the slightest interest in jazz music, you should check out http://jazzpourtous.blogspot.com/ which has a truly unbelievable amount of music being posted on a daily basis. This, of course, raises uncomfortable questions about copyright etc, but the vast majority of the posted music is either out of print, or has never been commercially available. You do not have to download any music to benefit from or enjoy the site - just reading the reviews of the various records is an education in itself. As you might suspect, I am addicted. This is just one of literally thousands of similar web-sites which post free music of all genres, by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Again, one cannot advocate the distribution of copyright material, but curious browsers might like to check out the following, for educative purposes: http://8daysinapril.blogspot.com/ (-psychedelic, progressive, krautrock) http://cahlsjukejoint.blogspot.com/ (-rock, blues, jazz, alt country) http://chrisgoesrock.blogspot.com/ (-psychedelia, sixties rock) http://ezhevika.blogspot.com/ (-psych progressive) http://hanszunblog.blogspot.com/ (-recent posts-Beach Boys, Calexico, Floyd) http://pixelmutt.blogspot.com/ (-weird, wired, Costello/McCartney) http://killingfloorblues.blogspot.com/ (-blues) etc etc etc - each of these random samples will lead you down hundreds of paths, and it would be relatively simple to locate sites which cater for your particular interests, be that girl groups of the fifties, german metal bands, australian disco thrash etc.
