It has been drawn to my attention ( says he, using 30 years experience in local government and the civil service) that if you want to leave a comment on this blog, you get transported to a screen which asks if you are an existing blogger, and if not, invites you to 'create an account' Panic ye not ! The 'account creation' is not like wot appens in the Bank of Scotland or your local building society. Rather, it is just the usual tiresome stuff about username and password (to be chosen by you, and it will remember you next time) and you have to give your e-mail address. It's a one-off hassle which should only take a few seconds (although don't blame me if you end up being contacted by Special Branch in the midle of the night).
