Traditional Scottish Food Still The Best

As a curry devotee, I was pleased to see this story on the BBC web-site. Curry capital title for Glasgow Glasgow has reclaimed the title Curry Capital of Britain. It fought off competition from 15 other cities in a public vote, and organisers Menu Magazine described Glasgow's submission as "just exceptional". Lord Provost Liz Cameron said: "I'm thrilled, this just goes to show that when it comes to the best Indian food, Glasgow really is hot stuff." The city has now won the title on three occasions in the six-year history of the competition. Four Glasgow restaurants - The Dhabba, Ashoka Flame, Shish Mahal and Panjea - represented the city. Manchester was in second place and Bradford took third place. Edinburgh was seventh in the competition. Glasgow took the crown from last year's winner Birmingham.
